Terms and conditions
At Yoga with Magdi, we operate yoga and meditation sessions and offer a range of services, “Bookings”.
"Accommodation" - Rooms and property facilities at a location chosen by the organisers of the retreat. Currently, this is at 167 La Petite Guyonnière, Maché, France. Other locations may become available in the future.
"Activities" - Educational workshops, meal-plans and other sessions, events and activities hosted at locations chosen by the organisers.
"Retreats" - A stay in the Accommodation for a specified period and with Magdi Barabás / Yoga with Magdi as the retreat leader and/or facilitator and including predetermined services such as Activities.
BOOKING
You accept these terms and conditions when you make a booking with us. That is by completing an online reservation/booking, and accepting these terms and conditions and any house rules published on our site, the booking platform or on the premises, or by placing your booking by email, or by making payment against an invoice from us, you accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between Yoga with Magdi, on behalf of yourself and any other members of your booking. Yoga with Magdi cannot accept your booking without a completed online reservation, or your verbal confirmation or request to proceed given in writing by email. A written/emailed confirmation sent to you by the organiser means your booking has been accepted.
EMAIL ADDRESS & TELEPHONE
It is vital that we have a valid email address. If you change your email address, we kindly ask you to inform us about the change since we mainly correspond by email. Once your booking has been made and we have received your deposit, all further correspondence happens by email. We also require a mobile phone so we can contact you prior and during your stay.
PAYMENT, RESERVATION AND DEPOSIT
Unless otherwise advised, an initial deposit of 40% is required with each booking or reservation. Until we have received your deposit, a booking or reservation is not guaranteed and may be cancelled without notice. The full amount is due 6 weeks prior to the retreat starting date, unless otherwise agreed. If the balance remains unpaid by due date, we have the right to cancel your booking without notice. No refund will be given. Payments can be made via bank transfer (or alternatives) or by online payment.
Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. However, you can cancel up to 6 weeks prior to the start date without having to pay the full amount. Cancellation within 6 weeks of the retreat start date is only possible for health reasons, with written proof. In this case, you can use the deposit for another retreat with Yoga with Magdi in the following year.
DISCOUNTS
Discounted prices are only available for bookings with payment in full. Discounts do not apply for bookings with deposit only.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
Subject to the exceptions listed below, our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
If you change your mind, you can cancel any purchase for a full refund minus the bank charges within 48 hours of booking and as long as you have not yet arrived at the retreat centre. Any cancellation after 48 hours, or not showing up, or not making payment in accordance with the terms is subject to a cancellation fee of 100% . A reduced cancellation fee of 40 % applies if you cancel more than 1 month prior to check-in date. Changing the date(s) for a reservation is considered a cancellation and a new booking. Failure to make payment by the agreed date is considered a cancellation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, no exceptions to this policy can be made for any reason. We therefore strongly advise you to take out an appropriate holiday insurance.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
The guest rooms will be ready from 4 PM on the day of arrival. We cannot guarantee access to your room before 4 PM, however you can drop off your bags if you wish so. If your flight is delayed or cancelled, you are required to contact Yoga with Magdi by email or text or call.
On your departure day please be ready to leave the retreat after breakfast, by 10 AM unless otherwise agreed.
TRAVEL TO THE RETREAT LOCATION
Travel and airport transfers are not included in the retreat price. We are happy to assist with arranging transport to or from Nantes airport or the train station in La Roche sur Yon. Please contact us for further details.
RIGHT TO CHANGES
Yoga with Magdi reserves the right to amend/cancel the retreat dates and topics. This may be due to several reasons, not limited to, but including, fewer than 5 participants, adverse weather conditions, and/or matters concerning participants safety such as due to COVID-19, operational circumstances such as damage caused by fire, or the retreat location becoming unusable due to utility company work or lack of services, leaks, repair work or any other such reason. In these circumstances the booking may need to be adjusted accordingly. Yoga with Magdi is not liable for any additional costs or losses that may be incurred by the client due to the change of booking. This includes, but is not limited to, any extra hotel reservations or car rentals, or the cost of non-refundable airline tickets. Situations may arise which, in our opinion, make it necessary for us to alter the normal booking schedule. We advise that your travel insurance covers holiday curtailment.
Where a teacher or facilitator advertised for a retreat is not able to teach due to reasons outside our control, we reserve the right to replace them with another teacher or facilitator, or in case such a replacement is not possible, to amend or cancel the retreat dates.
If before your arrival or during your stay your choice of room becomes unavailable or unusable for any reason we reserve the right to offer you an alternative room of the same level of quality, or to refund all or pro-rated fees paid to date and cancel the booking. We reserve this right in case of availability clashes, unexpected, unforeseen or uncontrollable situations. Should Yoga with Magdi successfully be able to offer you a similar room, a pro-rated refund for the difference will be refunded if the room offered is of a lower cost for the same period. If Yoga with Magdi is not able to offer a similar room then a full refund of fees paid will be returned. This constitutes the maximum liability of Yoga with Magdi. Yoga with Magdi is not responsible for any other expense or costs incurred including rearranging or cancelling flights or car hire. We strongly recommend holiday insurance cover.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Yoga with Magdi recommends that you take out an adequate and comprehensive travel insurance, including cover for medical treatment, accidents and repatriation, and holiday cancellation and curtailment.
It is your responsibility that you arrange, or ensure you have appropriate comprehensive travel insurance. This includes cover for illness, personal injury, travel delay/cancellation and holiday/retreat delay or cancellation. We assume that such a policy is in force before you depart. You should bring the policy with you in case of an emergency.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We will at times take photographs during the retreats for our website and promotional material, including adverts. By agreeing to the ‘Terms and Conditions’, you also agree to have your photograph taken. If you are sensitive about this, please do let the retreat manager know this when you arrive.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
We are responsible for providing the Offers listed and described on our website, where it is within our control. Yoga with Magdi cannot guarantee that all items listed on our website will be functional at all times, however all endeavours will be made to rectify any problems as soon as we possibly can. We reserve the right without prior notice to withdraw any part or all of the facilities available, and to make such changes as may be necessary. Furthermore, it is agreed by you that the owners/operators of the retreat/s of Yoga with Magdi are not the guardians of any customers safety and they, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence, which might result in illness, injury, death or other damage, loss or theft to the customer or his property. The liability of Yoga with Magdi is limited to a total of the booking price irrespective of the title/claim.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Any valuables left at the property are the guests' sole responsibility and neither Yoga with Magdi nor the staff can be held responsible for any loss or damage of personal property.
LIABILITY/YOUR HEALTH
All Yoga, exercise and any other retreat activities are undertaken at your own risk.
For your own wellness and safety, you must comply fully with all and any health and safety regulations introduced by Yoga with Magdi. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically, mentally and physically fit and able to use our facilities and participate in any of our retreat activities, including yoga and periods of silence.
Customers who have injuries or mental or physical illnesses are advised to seek their doctor’s advice prior to attending our retreat. Yoga with Magdi is not liable for any injuries you may contract during a retreat.
If you have any health conditions, including mental health conditions, you will need to inform Yoga with Magdi of these.
LOST AND FOUND
Items left at a property will be returned upon request and at the guest's expense. Yoga with Magdi is not liable for lost items. Yoga with Magdi will only hold items for fourteen (14) days before they are discarded.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Weather conditions can be unpredictable, and can change quickly and significantly. Yoga with Magdi cannot be made liable for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions.
CONSTRUCTION WORK
Yoga with Magdi cannot predict construction plans in the area and therefore cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience. In the event of building works taking place by local authorities, private developers or neighbours, it is important to note that we are not responsible for such work and we are unable to stop such work taking place and we are unable to control the level of noise. We cannot be held responsible for any building works that take place during your retreat. No refunds can be given in the event of nearby construction.
FORCE MAJEURE
Means any unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our normal control, which the consequences of could not have been avoided even when exercising all due care. Such circumstances or events include, but are not limited to, threat of war, riot, civil unrest, industrial disputes or strikes, unavoidable technical problems with the retreat location, transport, or closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial disasters, fire, theft, flooding and adverse weather conditions. In the event of any of the above refunds or compensation payments cannot be made.
PRINTING, TYPING, TERMS & CONDITIONS, CALCULATION ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
Yoga with Magdi reserves the right to correct any printing or typing errors, omissions or calculation mistakes at any time. We also reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions that apply to your booking at any time and without prior notice.Although out of courtesy, we might send you an update.
CONTRACT, COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS
Yoga with Magdi is confident that you will not have any cause for concern during your retreat. However if you should have any problems during your stay this should first be brought to the attention of the retreat manager.
If you are not satisfied with the local resolution, then, any further comments or suggestions should be put in writing, within 14 days of your return, specifying the problems to: yogawithmagdi@gmail.com
Signing up to any of the activities or retreats means that you accept these terms and conditions.
Privacy policy and your data
We do not store chargeable card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.
