Private yoga classes or a group session?

Group class or private session - which one to choose? The short answer is: it all depends on your needs.

Both private and group settings have their own advantages as well as limitations. If you enjoy sharing the space and the practice with others, then a group class can be a beautiful way to connect and benefit from what the collective energy can offer.

If you have specific needs or areas that you’d like to focus on, or you simply enjoy having the class tailored specifically for you, then private classes might be the answer.

I like thinking of the the one-on-one sessions I offer as the translations of the wisdom that traditions like Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine has to offer into the yoga practice. Recognising the potential that lies in the different yogic practices, Ayurveda, TCM, or the Western scientific approach to life and dis-ease, and carefully applying this synthesis in a private class can indeed bring a person closer to themselves, or closer to what is essential to discern in the present moment in order to live a more purposeful life and to live with more ease. Sometimes that is all one needs.
